Iridescence quartet is an extraordinary group of women from the greater Phoenix, Arizona area who gather in celebration of the art form known as barbershop music. The members from this quartet also sing with choruses that are part region 21 of Sweet Adelines International, a world-wide organization of women who love to sing four-part harmony. Iridescence is registered with Sweet Adelines International and meets regularly to perform, socialize, and have fun.
WRAP up for 2025:
It started with a bang of getting busy for competition - getting coached with Debra Lynn, Susan Kegley and Brent Graham. Awesome coaching and a lot was learned!
We won the drawing from region21 to be coached by Viva Queens. Two weeks prior to the Queens, our lead left and we had to do something fast, so we got Mags to join the group who sings bari in our chorus and she was ready to sing lead for the Queens!
Our coaching with the Viva Queens was out of this world. We are so blessed to be selected. They were down to earth and we all felt very relaxed with them. So much accomplished. Thank you Chris and Peggy what a great experience and we learned a lot!!!
We weren't ready for competition as we only had a few months to prepare. We did, however, sing a few songs for Westwind Harmony Chorus April Spring show. We had other coaching sessions mostly with Brent Graham, Theresa Weatherbee, and Debra Lynn - all so fantastic and learned a lot - we are so blessed and grateful!
We participated in Harmony Inc Fest West - July 2025 which was awesome an experience. Got to see the stage and test the microphones prior to the festival. Afterwards we were coached by the judges who scored us. That in itself was worth gold!
Afterwards it was vacations and people's time was limited, illnesses or other committments, etc... We did manage to perform in 6 christmas performances. Soon after that we met during our christmas break of where do we go from here. Sadly to say people's goals changed and not matching up with other quartet members - so it was clear that Irridescene had to be put to rest but not our friendships to each other.
I myself have no regrets, I had a great time, the best learning experiences in my life, and I loved singing with them and will treasure the times we did have!
